OUR TECHNIQUES
TORQUE RELEASE TECHNIQUE
At Compass Chiropractic, Drs. Andy and Kailey utilize the most specific, scientific, chiropractic technique, called Torque Release Technique. Torque Release Technique utilizes and instrument called The Integrator to deliver very gentle, specific, chiropractic adjustments. The Integrator is the only Chiropractic adjusting instrument that was developed out of randomized clinical trial, blinded and with placebo control which is also FDA approved.
The Integrator reproduces the entire thrust and movement components of TOGGLE RECOIL, a classic Chiropractic Method of adjusting by hand at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second. No instrument in Chiropractic history has been able to reproduce what the hands were intended to do. Many other features are built into the integrator, however, the preloading/tip sensitive automatic release mechanism makes the Integrator the first and only Chiropractic adjusting instrument capable of totally true inter-professional reproducibility. The Integrator automatically discharges when a predetermined contact pressure has been reached, allowing for true inter-professional reproducibility, and signaling the chiropractor and patient that a specific adjustment has been delivered. It is the only hand-held instrument with adjustable left and right “TORQUE” capability as well as “RECOIL” and true adjustment of force and is also a legally marketed instrument in the United States.
WEBSTER TECHNIQUE - PRENATAL CARE
Drs. Andy and Kailey are also certified in the Webster Technique. This technique focuses on correcting misalignments of the sacrum, which may cause tightening and torsion of the pelvic muscles and ligaments. It is these tense muscles and ligaments and their aberrant effect on the uterus which may prevent the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth.
The obstetric literature has determined that correct positioning of the baby in-utero affects birth outcome and decreases the potential for undue stress to the baby’s developing spine and nerve system. The obstetric literature has also determined the importance of pelvic neuro-biomechanics for the prevention of dystocia (difficult birth). Chiropractic literature has determined the significance of sacral adjusting in normalizing pelvic neuro-biomechanics.

It is therefore considered crucial that this specific sacral analysis and adjustment be used throughout pregnancy to detect and alleviate sacral imbalance and optimize pelvic neuro-biomechanics. Because of the particular female adaptations from the increase of hormones, weight gain, and postural adaptations, pregnant mothers have a greater chance of sacral subluxation and neuro-biomechanical imbalance than the general population. Because of the effect that chiropractic adjustments have on all body functions by reducing nerve system stress, pregnant mothers should have their spines checked regularly throughout pregnancy, optimizing health benefits for both the mother and baby.
